2018. at first glance, it seemed like just another year. but after taking time to reflect, i realized that it’s been a year of sweet family time, reunions with old friends, adventures with new friends, lots of professional growth, and plenty of God’s grace.
January
the month of snowy days and the month i ended up being one of the few staff members at our facility to avoid the Noro virus (thanks to face masks and gallons of Kombucha).
February
the month i built snowmen and bought tulips all in the same month.
March
the month i started using Arbonne products, shoveled a literal ton of snow, started a new Bible study with some new friends, spent many an afternoon in new coffee shops, and chased bluebirds in my parent’s backyard.
April
the month i created the allisonarise_ot Instagram account, {semi} celebrated OT Month, took a spontaneous beach trip, pretended to be a Disney princess, and attended a new friends wedding.
May
the month i turned 25 and definitely felt alive (oh and also the month i visited a ton of greenhouses).
June
the month i chopped my hair and took a mini vacation to attend a sweet friend’s bridal shower.
July
the month of a million ice cream cones and Polaroid pictures.
August
the month i took a week-long vacation in Maine to live like a Mainer and celebrate a best friend’s wedding.
September
the month i bought a brand-spankin-new car, lived my best life at the state fair, and celebrated my one-year workiversary.
October
the month my brother bought a house and i bought a bunch of new sweaters (and the month one of my best friends asked me to be a bridesmaid!)
November
the month i worked a ton and drank a ton of coffee.
December
the month i celebrated new and old Christmas traditions (like heading down to La Salette Shrine for the light display, attending the Boston Pops Holiday concert, baking our family-favorite sugar cookies, and {sort-of} winning an ugly sweater contest).
throwback to 2017.
